Inspired by a tattered copy of Sir Walter Scott's, "Lady of the Lake," our editorial came to life on a small island in the middle of Lake Martin. As Scott's "lady" was an enchantress who lived beneath a lake, we explored the beauty of our own enchantress sauntering the shoreline and venturing into the depths of the water.
We named her Lachlan, and adorned her crown with silk and flowers. She wandered the sandy beach as the sun began its descent, then she ventured into the rippling waters. Her veil rested on the surface before slowly sinking into the darkness and trailing behind her, deeper and deeper into the blue abyss.
